Oh yeah, I forgot to post these. We tried something a little different this go around. We used a youtube video that had timed poses, ramping up from 1 min, to 2 min, to finally 5 minute drawings. It was nice to be able to spend a little bit longer on some drawings. Keeping at it!
Well, it took us forever to finally work out our schedules to be free to work on this together, but DerpyCrash and I finally got around to another collab! It…
Brand new chiptune collab between myself and DerpyCrash! Go check it out!
Some good, a lot bad, but still making progress.
Here is my current demo reel for the end of the Summer! Thanks for all my friends who’ve been giving me feedback as I continue to work on these new shots. You…
Yay, I finally finished up that shot I’ve been working on and updated my demo reel! Going to be applying to the Walt Disney Animation Apprenticeship with this, so wish me luck!
Been a busier week so haven’t gotten around to sketching lately, but it shall resume soon!
In other news… SUPER METROID DIORAMA. Finally got this thing framed and looking nice. Tested out a little transparent material for the foreground water, and I’m liking how it turned out.
Enjoy some closeups of some tinier elements, and see it join my previous Yoshi’s Island diorama in that last pic.
Bonus points to anyone who can spot the (thoroughly though-out and purposeful) “error” in the artwork.
These are seriously so cool. I know the “error” but it’s kind of cheating since we had a discussion about it!
Whoops, it’s been awhile. I’ve been out of town visiting old college buddies for the past few days, so I didn’t get a chance to keep up with the sketching. Something must have clicked after the first few drawings tonight, because I feel like I was starting to get things. Definitely gotta get back in the swing of things and keep it rolling.
More practice tonight, still just trying to figure things out and improve. I think I’m starting to get this foreshortening stuff a little better…
More quick poses again tonight. I actually managed to stay pretty loose for the first session tonight, but by the end started getting too tight again. Still, I think I’m slowly making progress. Definitely a lot better than a month or so again when I started this thing.
Decided to go traditional sketchbook for tonight. Just a few quick poses again. I’m so bad at art. Look at that guy’s shoulder. Srsly, wtf?
